Animal burgers. Made with plants.

V-Face, Dublin’s finest vegan burger bar, now has a permanent home in Stoneybatter. Bring your bf, bring your oul one, bring your granny.

The vegan burger brand applauded by vegans and carnivores alike has set up shop permanently on North Brunswick Street, Stoneybatter, Dublin 7. Let’s not mince our words (just our chickpeas) this is a welcome addition to the neighbourhood.

Since popping up in The Belfry, Stoneybatter in 2018 and touring around the city with their pop-up, V-Face has built up quite the legion of fans with their animal burgers, made with plants. The secret sauce? V-Face have plants in their pants for locally sourced stuff, so they’ve stalked the best farmers for plant-based ingredients and put them between some outrageous buns, made down the road in a local bakery. They may be vegan burgers, but V-Face is not all holier-than-cow. No judgement for liking the taste of meat, you just won’t find any in their food.

V-Face is best described as lethal burgers without the killing. It’s all of the ‘durt’, none of the hurt, all of the cheat, none of the meat.

Owner Sarah Boland secured the location on North Brunswick Street last year and has been busy renovating and buzzin’ for the grand opening. Slightly hampered by the pandemic but not deterred, Sarah opened V-Face in May for drop ins and for delivery through Just Eat and welcomed her first sit-in customers Saturday 25th July. Sarah says: “It’s been a lot busier than I expected, especially opening when we did. We had to turn people away on our first night, it was so busy.”

Have a gawk at V-Face menu highlights:

Here’s a taster of the V-Face menu.

Hot Chick V-Burg is a sweet spud and chickpea patty with rocket, coriander, pepper jack cheese, mashed avo, nachos, mayo and sriracha. Served on a charcoal bun.

Magic Mushie V-Burg is a battered portobello mushroom with spinach, gouda cheese and garlic mayo. Served on a seeded bun.

Maybe fries are you’re do or die – Garlic Parm Fries loaded with garlic mayo, VF homemade parmesan and fresh parsley or the Kimchi Bomb loaded with kimchi, lime drizzle, cilantro, sriracha, two types of cheese, mashed avo and sesame seeds.

V-Face also serves up a V-Dog, Wingz and Saucy Boi’s so make a more planet friendly choice while still indulging in something unique and tasty.

Sustainability:

Speaking of the planet! All of the V-Face packaging is compostable. Sarah says: “some of our packaging, like for example the sauce containers may appear plastic, but they’re not. They are made from PLA which is a compostable material so straight into the compost bin with them.”
