Discover the stories of Dublin’s most remarkable women from the heights of Croke Park this International Women’s Day

Dublin’s skyline will become a platform for powerful storytelling this International Women’s Day. Sunday March 8th, as the GAA Museum at Croke Park launches ‘Dublin’s Daughters’, a special edition Kellogg’s Skyline Tour.

Created to honour the women who have shaped the city’s social, cultural and sporting life, the experience invites visitors onto the roof of Croke Park to discover the stories of those who helped define the capital.

Taking place 44 metres above the iconic pitch, the tour guides participants along the rooftop platforms and suspended walkways of the Kellogg’s Skyline, where panoramic views stretch from the River Liffey to the distant Dublin Mountains. From this vantage point, visitors look out across the capital while standing above the Croke Park pitch itself – home to some of the greatest moments in Camogie and Ladies Football.

With panoramic views stretching across the capital, Dublin’s Daughters positions the city itself as a backdrop to female strength and achievement. From the bridges linked to labour activism to the sporting heart of Croke Park, visitors will learn how women shaped Dublin’s social progress, cultural life and national story, often against significant odds.

From this vantage point, you can trace the spaces where history unfolded and reflect on the women who helped define it. From the enduring legend of Molly Malone to the revolutionary courage of trade unionist Rosie Hackett and the trailblazing sporting legacy of Dr Kay Mills, the tour shines a light on women. both real and fictional. whose influence continues to leave its mark on the capital. By weaving together historic milestones and contemporary achievement, ‘Dublin’s Daughters’ offers a thoughtful and inspiring perspective on what makes the city a true ‘Fair City’.

Tours will run at 12pm and 3pm on Sunday, March 8th only, with tickets priced at €24 for adults and €22 for students and seniors. As this is a special International Women’s Day event, advance booking online is essential.

Dublin’s Daughters is part of a series of special Kellogg’s Skyline Tours that look at Dublin under a specific theme, following after the literary-themed ‘Writers from the Rooftop’ and the macabre ‘Tales from the Pale’. The Skyline tour takes place outdoors at height and operates in most weather conditions. Visitors are advised to dress appropriately and wear comfortable walking shoes. The experience is suitable for fit individuals aged 16 and over, and guests are encouraged to review the Skyline terms and conditions prior to travelling to Croke Park.
