These delicious bao buns are wonderfully light and have an extra fluffy Asian twist. While they are sure to be a firm family favourite at your next weekend barbecue, National Barbecue Week is just around the corner, so what better way to ring in the festivities than with something a little special?
Made with a delightfully balanced blend of Chinese-style spices, fragrant ginger and spritely spring onion, the new bao buns at M&S also come with a sweet hoisin sauce for the perfect finishing touch.
If bao buns are a new addition to your table, M&S can recommend some tried and tested recipes that are sure to spice things up:
- Fry mushrooms over a high heat until golden brown, then toss in soy sauce and a squeeze of honey. Layer up in our bao burger bun with crushed peanuts and spring onions.
- Sizzle prawns on the barbecue, then pile into bao burger buns with finely shredded red cabbage and mango, and a drizzle of hot sauce.
- Coat chicken thighs in a marinade made from soy, honey, ginger and garlic, then grill. Shred into the bao burger buns along with shredded cucumber.
