‘Curioser and Curioser’
Step into wonderland at Blackrock Park with the enchanting Easter Eggscapade
Saturday, April 4th | 1pm-5pm | Blackrock Park, Co. Dublin
Families are invited to tumble down the rabbit hole this Easter Saturday as the much-loved Easter Eggscapade returns to Blackrock Park on Saturday, April 4th 2026, transforming the Playground into a whimsical Wonderland from 1pm to 5pm. Hosted by dlr Events, an initiative of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, this free family celebration blends the magic of an Alice in Wonderland theme with a traditional Easter Egg Hunt, promising an afternoon packed with imagination, adventure and fun.
Children and families will be greeted by beloved Wonderland characters including Alice, the White Rabbit and the Mad Hatter. From the spinning teacup ride and the playful Hat Walk, to becoming a pawn in a giant chess game, every corner of the Playground will offer something curious and delightful to discover.
One of the highlights of the day will be the Egg Trail, where young explorers can follow clues around the park in search of hidden treats and Easter goodies waiting to be found. Creative minds can also get hands-on at the Make and Do tent to create an Easter Bonnet station before taking part in the ever-popular Hat Walk fashion parade, showcasing their colourful creations.
“I am delighted to welcome families back to Blackrock Park for this magical Easter celebration,” said An Cathaoirleach Councillor Jim Gildea “Easter Eggscapade is all about community, creativity and shared experiences. It’s wonderful to see the park come alive with colour, laughter and imagination as we celebrate the spirit of Easter together.”
For energetic adventurers, the event will also feature bouncing castles, a teacup carousel, giant games and props, while talented face painters will be on hand throughout the afternoon to add a splash of colour and sparkle to the fun.
The Easter Eggscapade takes place on Saturday, April 4th 2026, from 1pm to 5pm in Blackrock Park, Dublin. Families are encouraged to arrive early, explore the park and enjoy this immersive Easter experience designed to create lasting memories in a truly storybook setting.
