The Ivy Dawson Street celebrates the season of horses with a beautiful floral install, limited- edition cocktail and competition
August 2025: In celebration of Ireland’s equestrian season, The Ivy on Dawson Street has transformed its entrance for a showstopping special guest, The Ivy Stallion. The striking six-foot steed, made with blooms in varying shades of pink, captures the essence of summer at The Ivy and Ireland’s love of horses. And inside the restaurant, a limited-edition cocktail, The Strawberry Saddle awaits.
Whether visiting Dublin for an equestrian event, or last-minute city break, The Ivy Dawson Street offers the perfect setting to enjoy a stunning meal and exquisite drinks. Especially for the season, The Ivy’s expert team of mixologists have created The Strawberry Saddle; a fruity and decadent cocktail, made with Crème de Fraise and rose syrup, topped with chilled Prosecco and adorned with raspberry dust.
What’s more, The Ivy is inviting guests to join in on the celebrations by striking a winning pose with The Ivy Stallion, sharing on Instagram, and tagging @the_ivy_ie to be in with a chance of winning dinner for them and three guests.
But hurry, like a true champion, The Ivy Stallion won’t be around for long and will be galloping off into the sunset on Sunday 10th August.
While the Ivy Stallion will be saying goodbye, summer will not be over just yet, as the new Summer at The Ivy set menu will be available until the 2nd of September. Guests can enjoy two courses for €38.95 or three for €45.95, both options accompanied by glass of The Ivy Guest Champagne. Begin the meal with a refreshing Heirloom Tomato and Watermelon Salad, followed by the classic John Stone Steak, Egg and Frech Fries or the luxurious Crab Risso with a shellfish bisque. Then indulge in a dessert ofCrème Brûlée made with Dubliner whiskey, vanilla custard on a caramelised sugar crust. For guests who prefer something more refreshing, the Strawberry and Elderflower Trifle is sure to delight, with layered savoiardi biscuits, Irish strawberries, lavender and vanilla ice cream.
