Dave McEnroe (r) and Mark Donohoe (l) of Classic Drinks are pictured with renowned Spanish winemaker Álvaro Palacios, at Dublin’s Fallon & Byrne wine cellar where they recently hosted an exclusive tasting for guests from Ireland’s hospitality sector.
The event showcased the Spanish wine maker’s portfolio of fine wines including Finca Dofí and La Baixada from the family run business in the Priorat region. Alvaro also introduced Las Lamas and Villa do Corullon from Bierzo – and joint venture estate with his nephew Ricardo Perez. Álvaro studied winemaking in Bordeaux before acquiring his first vineyard in Spain in 1990.
Guests sampled 6 wines from his vineyards across Bierzo, Priorat, & Rioja Oriental. Álvaro Palacios’ wines are available now at Classic Drinks.
