The Five-Star Luxury Estate reopens the Restored Manor House

27 April 2026: Five-star Mount Juliet Estate has reopened its doors to The Manor, an opulent and meticulously restored venue that marries historic significance with contemporary luxury.

The eight-million-euro investment represents a commitment to honouring the estate’s rich past while delivering an unparalleled luxury experience for guests.

More than just a conventional renovation, the restoration team approached the house almost as a personality. Envisioning The Manor at Mount Juliet Estate as an elegant host, someone who delights in welcoming friends, filling the rooms with warmth, conversation, and celebration. This philosophy is evident from the moment guests arrive; they are enveloped in the refreshed interiors, layered textures, rich fabrics, and a colour palette drawn from the estate itself.

Leading Interior Designer Aisling Healy of O’Donnell O’Neill meticulously curated every element to bring The Manor House back to life. Staying true to its Georgian roots, the restoration involved careful research and selection, from restoring original fixtures and architectural details to selecting period-appropriate furnishings and finishes. Each piece has been thoughtfully selected to immerse guests in authentic elegance, historical reverence, and uncompromising luxury. Where possible, the team worked with Irish suppliers and artisans, preserving not only the character of The Manor at Mount Juliet Estate, but also ensuring the restoration reflects the skill and heritage of Irish craftsmanship.

Each suite within The Manor at Mount Juliet Estate has been thoughtfully named to reflect the estate’s rich heritage and the people who shaped its legacy. Examples include the Hartpole Suite, which honours Margaret Hartpole, the last mistress of Grace’s Old Castle in Kilkenny and a symbol of defiance, and the Sommerset Suite who represents Somerset Hamilton Butler who was ambitious 18th-century Irish nobleman who transformed his wife’s dowry into the enduring Mount Juliet Estate, leaving a legacy of vision, expansion, and refined design.

Speaking on the restoration General Manager of Mount Juliet Estate Mark Dunne said“This restoration has been a remarkable undertaking, and we are so thrilled to see it brought to life so carefully. The Manor is now a testament to Mount Juliet Estate’s position as one of Ireland’s premier luxury destinations and our dedication to delivering extraordinary experiences.”

Interior Designer of The Manor House Aisling Healy added, “It has truly been an honour to work on this exceptional project, Mount Juliet Estate’s Manor House is a masterpiece of Georgian architecture, and our vision was to honour that heritage, I am so thankful that they trusted me with this important project”.

If guests decide to explore more of the Estate, they can enjoy a plethora of activities.
