The Bord Gáis Energy GAA Legends Tour Series returns to Croke Park for 2024, giving fans the opportunity to meet their heroes on this exclusive behind-the-scenes Stadium Tour

The GAA Museum at Croke Park is delighted to welcome back the hugely popular Bord Gáis Energy GAA Legends Tour Series, which invites supporters to join their heroes on a special Croke Park Stadium Tour. These tours provide fans with a fascinating insight into the inter-county playing days of GAA, Camogie & LGFA players that were packed with brilliant moments. Tours take place on selected Saturdays at 11am through June, July and August, with a different Legend leading each tour.
Featured amongst the Bord Gáis Energy GAA Legends this year are sporting greats including Richie Hogan (Kilkenny), Michael Murphy (Donegal), Tomás Ó Sé (Kerry), Bríd Stack (Cork), Neil McManus (Antrim), Tony Scullion (Derry), Ollie Baker (Clare), Nicky English (Tipperary) and Ursula Jacob (Wexford). These decorated players have amassed numerous All-Ireland titles and All-Star awards and represented their clubs and counties with passion and pride for many years, earning the ‘legend’ status on the pitch and beyond!

The annual Legends Tour series is always a highlight here at the GAA Museum, and we look forward to continuing our partnership with Bord Gáis Energy for another year.”

The format of the Legends tour will see each player interviewed by an experienced and passionate GAA Museum tour guide, delving into their career, looking at highs and lows and giving people an unrivalled insight into their earliest memories of playing Gaelic Games, lining out for club and county, and their Croke Park memories. All Bord Gáis Energy GAA Legends Tours include a behind the scenes Croke Park Stadium tour and a trip to the award winning GAA Museum, which vividly illustrates the story of Gaelic games from ancient times to the present day. Featured exhibitions include the original Sam Maguire and Liam MacCarthy Cups, the official GAA Hall of Fame, the Interactive Games Zone where everyone can test their hurling and football skills and the recently launched Club Wall.

Legends Tours run from 8th June until 10th August, to coincide with the Championship season. Tickets are priced at €20 for Adults, €15 for concessions which includes seniors and students and €12 for a Child.

Saturday 8th June – 11am: Richie Hogan (Kilkenny)

During his illustrious inter-county hurling career with the Cats, Richie Hogan won the Liam MacCarthy Cup on seven occasions, alongside eleven Leinster Senior Hurling Championships and five National Hurling Leagues.

Saturday 29th June – 11am: Michael Murphy (Donegal)
In 2007 Michael Murphy made his senior debut for Donegal in 2007, aged 18. He went on to represent his county with distinction for fifteen years, captaining the Tír Chonaill men to All-Ireland Senior Championship glory in 2012.

Saturday 6th July – 11am Ollie Baker (Clare)
Clare’s commanding midfielder, Ollie Baker, won the Liam MacCarthy Cup twice during his inter-county hurling career with ‘The Banner’ County. He secured his maiden Celtic Cross in 1995, which was the Munster men’s first All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship title since 1914.

Saturday 13th July – 11am Tony Scullion (Derry)
Tony Scullion has represented his county, province and country at the highest level. The Derry defender was central to the Oak Leaf County’s Sam Maguire success in 1993. In addition to his Celtic Cross, Tony won three National Football Leagues & two Ulster Championship titles.

Wednesday 17th July – 6.30pm Nicky English – (Tipperary)
GAA Museum Hall of Fame Inductee, Nicky English, is a member of an elite group that have won All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championships as both a player and a manager. In 1989 he played a pivotal role in helping to bring the Liam MacCarthy Cup back to the Premier County for the first time in over a decade.

Saturday 27th July – 2pm Tomás Ó Sé (Kerry)
Hailing from a legendary GAA family, Tomás Ó Sé wore the Green and Gold jersey with esteem between 1998 and 2013. The An Gaeltacht Clubman represented Kerry 88 times in Senior Championship Football, winning all of the major honours, including five All-Ireland Senior Football Championships, nine Munster Championship titles and three National Football Leagues.Saturday 3rd August – 11am Bríd Stack (Cork) 

Bríd Stack is one of the most decorated players in the fifty-year history of Ladies Gaelic Football. During her stellar career representing the Rebel County, Bríd won eleven All-Ireland Senior Football Championships in the space of twelve years.

Saturday 10th August – 11am Ursula Jacob (Wexford)
Wexford’s Ursula Jacob has won every major medal in Camogie. A four-time All-Ireland Champion, with her county, Ursula is also a triple All-Ireland winner with her club, Oulart-The Ballagh. A member of a successful sporting family, Ursula’s father Mick, was Wexford’s first Hurling All-Star.

Date Coming Soon- Neil McManus (Antrim)

A stalwart of Antrim and Ulster hurling, Neil McManus made his inter-county debut in 2007 and went on to represent the Saffrons with prowess, for sixteen years, before retiring in 2023.
