The popular Dublin hotspot makes history with record-breaking international success

Dublin, Ireland – September  2025 – Little Pyg has further cemented its reputation globally and is now regarded as Ireland’s most decorated and award-winning pizzeria, following another standout performance on the global stage. Based in the heart of Dublin in the historic Powerscourt Townhouse, the restaurant has been voted Best Pizzeria in Ireland for 2023, 2024 and 2025, making it a three-in-a-row for the Irish favourite.

At the prestigious World Pizza Awards in Naples, Little Pyg, Ireland’s only entrant at the ceremony, placed in the Top 100 Pizzerias Globally, globally elevating Dublin’s food scene on the international culinary map and marking yet another milestone year for the Irish pizzeria.

Earlier this year, Little Pyg’s strong showing at the Pizza Europa Awards in Madrid, where they ranked in the top 20 in Europe, secured the Dublin restaurants place to represent Ireland at “The Worlds” yesterday, with only the continent’s highest-ranked pizzerias advancing to the global awards.

The prestigious Top 50 Pizza Awards, often described as the Michelin Guide of the pizza world, are judged by over 2,000 anonymous food critics who assess thousands of venues across Europe and beyond, measuring dough quality, ingredient sourcing, service, innovation, and overall dining experience.

“Our dough, our oven, our standards, we improve them every week” Head Pizza Chef Federico Rapali said “Our secret is relentless refinement. We use only the best Italian ingredients, our dough ferments for 48 hours, and every pizza is baked in our oven crafted from the rock of Mount Vesuvius. That combination, plus the best quality ingredients and a team obsessed with consistency, is what keeps pushing us up the rankings and makes Little Pyg a firm favourite of the Italian community in Dublin, it’s a proud moment for Dublin and for accessible excellence”

Owner Paul McGlade added “It’s an honour to represent Ireland on the world stage again. We’re proud to be recognised internationally while keeping Little Pyg true to its roots, Michelin-quality pizza at prices people can actually enjoy in Dublin. That balance of excellence and accessibility is everything to us.”

Little Pyg’s rise has been swift and sustained. Alongside its three peat as Ireland’s #1, its pizzas are praised for authenticity and craft. The menu continues to champion value in a city known for high prices, and many of Little Pyg’s pizzas come in at around 50% fewer calories than standard equivalents thanks to Rapali’s meticulously developed recipes.

Dubliners can enjoy these world-class pizzas daily in Powerscourt Townhouse. Reservations are available online here, and guests can also enjoy the much-loved two-for-€22 ‘Pygtails’ cocktail offer, seven days a week.
