Dollars, the neighbourhood deli and wine bar on Exchequer Street, is expanding its daytime menu for the summer months. Known for its casual feel and rotating offering of sandwiches, fresh salads, pastries, and great coffee by day, Dollars has introduced two new additions to the lineup: a monthly rotation of dunking sandwiches, and a selection of icy cold, deliciously nostalgic sweet treats, both now available.

The new dunking sandwiches will feature a different profile each month, served alongside a dedicated dipping sauce – things kicked off in June with a Butter Chicken Dollar Dunk, with more to come throughout summer. In July, try the Birria Beef Dollar Dunk, featuring slow-cooked birria beef, mozzarella, crispy cheese, a red onion and coriander salsa, and pickled jalapeños, served with a birria beef dip while August will introduce the Katsu Chicken Dollar Dunk, made with a crispy chicken fillet, mozzarella, miso mayo, a cucumber and coriander salad, and a katsu curry sauce.

Those dipping additions arrive alongside a new sweet and cold menu, designed to have at the long bar overlooking Exchequer Street, in the windows watching the world go by on George’s Street, or ordering to go. With a focus on nostalgia-driven ice cream treats and shakes, the milkshake lineup is inspired by classic Irish ice cream favourites, including the Super Split with vanilla ice cream & orange sorbet ripple, the Feast with chocolate ice cream, toasted almonds & chocolate sauce and the Twister with vanilla ice cream, raspberry sorbet & lime sorbet.

For a simpler cold treat, the menu includes vanilla ice cream floats made with classic sodas like TK Red Lemonade, cherry cola, ginger beer and Club Rock Shandy, as well as house-made ice cream sandwiches including a Biscoff ice-cream donut.

These daytime introductions follow the recent launch of Dollars Wine Down, the deli’s new evening concept. From 6pm to 10pm daily, Dollars swaps its daytime focus for a laid-back, candlelit atmosphere, with a curated selection of small plates, artisan charcuterie, Irish cheese, seasonal spritzes, and an exceptional lineup of natural, low-intervention and organic wines.
