The chq Building

Overlooking the River Liffey and George’s Dock, The chq Building is a beautifully restored Georgian warehouse that has an array of cafes and restaurants to suit every taste. From Toss’d noodles to tasty treats at the Bakehouse, the range of options for lunch is fantastic and there is plenty of outdoor seating facing George’s Dock. Plan a trip to EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum, voted Europe’s Leading Tourist Attraction 2019 & 2020, before you eat to really enjoy your time in the Docklands. The chq Building is open Monday to Friday from 8am to 7pm and on weekends from 9.30am to 6.30pm. Take out available in all of the cafés and restaurants in chq.

Urban Brewing

At the western side of The chq Building is Urban Brewing; a microbrewery and restaurant offering an exceptional dining experience. Their Hop Garden Terrace is open 7 days a week from 5pm for bookings only, serving a beautiful range of Tapas and Raciones. Their Suntrap Terrace is walk-in only and is the perfect place for drinks with friends, open Wednesdays to Saturdays from 4.30pm to 9.00 pm.

Harbourmaster Bar and Restaurant

The Harbourmaster, located at Customs House Dock, is another iconic building in the Docklands and their restaurant has a diverse and delicious menu. They are back open from June 7th and are now taking email bookings for their outdoor areas. Email: info@harbourmaster.ie or call 01 670 1688

Brewdog Dublin Outpost

Brewdog is the perfect location for that long-awaited get together with friends, with epic views of the river looking out to Dublin Bay. The bar features an incredible array of craft beers and a mouth-watering food menu. They will be taking a limited amount of bookings, with walk-ins also accepted. Their covered outdoor seating area is dog-friendly and can have a max of 6 people per group. To avoid disappointment book a table through their website or email outpostdublin@brewdog.com

MV Cill Airne

Located on North Wall Quay this floating restaurant and bar offers unrivalled views of the Convention Centre and Samuel Beckett Bridge while you dine. Table bookings for the MV Cill Airne are available on their outdoor deck, where you can spend a sunny afternoon on the Liffey watching the ebb and flow of the river.

The Mayson

The Mayson is a brand new boutique hotel located minutes away from the 3 Arena, and has two restaurants offering outdoor dining options. Elephant & Castle is located on the ground floor and has an inventive menu that brings together old world and contemporary food styles. Their outdoor covered courtyard is a great place to enjoy a meal and take in this new addition to the waterfront. Or for a more panoramic view while you eat, head up to the sixth floor and discover Ryleigh’s Rooftop Steakhouse. Their outdoor terrace offers amazing views of the Docklands and as far away as Dun Laoghaire when the weather is good.

Mackenzie’s

Located on Hanover Quay Mackenzie’s promises a delicious American-style menu with everything from burgers and steaks to sandwiches and wood-fired pizzas. Overlooking the Grand Canal Docks their dining space offers beautiful views of the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, you might even catch a glimpse of some swans navigating the waterway in between the rowers and barges that give the area a unique atmosphere with the Docklands.

Mackenzie’s are welcoming walk-ins, but to avoid disappointment it is best to book in advance by emailing book@mackenzies.ie.

Nutbutter

The food at Nutbutter is terrific and you can tell a lot of thought has been put into every offering. Located at Grand Canal Quay, this restaurant offers a healthy range of sourced Irish ingredients to offer a range of high-protein plant based meals, vegan options and tasty treats to suit every appetite.

The Marker Hotel

The Marker Hotel offers a passionate and creative outdoor dining experience for both guests and visitors this summer, whether it’s lunch in their Marker Bar or drinks on their fabulous Rooftop Bar & Terrace with the best views of the Docklands.

The Marker Bar, located just inside the entrance of the hotel, extends to an alfresco terrace on Grand Canal Square so you can really soak up the energy of the “Silicon Docks”. They are open from 12pm to 10pm each day serving an a la carte dining menu, set three course menu and desserts.

If you and your friends are looking for a stylish venue for your long-awaited get together then the Rooftop Bar and Terrace is probably the place in the Docklands to meet. Featuring a full cocktail bar and truly unique views of Dublin, the Rooftop Bar & Terrace will make any night out this summer a memorable one. Open Thursday & Friday from 5pm to 11pm, Saturday from 3pm to 11pm, and Sunday from 3pm to 9pm.
