DUBLIN, October 2025. The weekday dinner drama is officially over. Deliveroo has launched Family Dinneroo in Dublin, a new offering bringing delicious, family-friendly sharing dishes from top UK restaurants straight to doors, all for €30 or under.

Giovanna Fletcher, much-loved author, podcast host, and parenting advocate has teamed up with Deliveroo as ambassador for Family Dinneroo to help shine a light on the everyday pressures of parenting and how Family Dinneroo can help parents relieve the mental load and give precious time back to spend more time together. Known for sharing the highs and lows of motherhood with humour and authenticity, she brings real lived experience to the campaign.

Family Dinneroo offers a convenient alternative for parents looking to reduce the mental and physical load of parenthood from school runs to after school clubs, and then finding time to prepare a balanced dinner and enjoy quality time together.

The new offering is designed to help families reduce the load (and avoid adding washing up to the endless list of chores), featuring curated menus of high-quality, shareable dishes from locally-loved restaurants, to feed a family of up to four people for €30 or under.*

No two families are the same, which is why Deliveroo collaborated closely with restaurant partners to create dishes that are liked by kids and loved by parents, containing multiple portions suitable for sharing such as lasagne, pad thai, and fajitas (plus much more), with the ability to customise to suit individual needs.

Available Monday to Thursday between 4.30pm–6.30pm, parents can pre-book meals up to five days in advance, meaning dinner is ready when the family walks through the door. Families get stress-free suppers, while restaurants benefit from boosted orders during quieter hours.

Speaking about her role as Family Dinneroo ambassador and her own experience of busy family mealtimes, Giovanna Fletcher, said:

“As busy parents, family time is everything, and in our house getting everyone around the table for dinner is a precious moment we try  to protect. But there’s often so much to get done, from planning, to cooking, clearing up, all while juggling everything else. That’s why I love Deliveroo’s new Family Dinneroo. It’s a lifesaver on hectic days, with family sharing meals everyone will enjoy from some of the UK’s most-loved restaurants.

Giovanna added: “The fact you can pre-order so dinner’s ready when you walk through the door makes such a difference. For me, it’s about balance. Some days I love to cook, other days I don’t have the time, and that’s okay. What matters most is sitting down together and really enjoying that time as a family.”

As well as sharing her own mealtime hacks, Giovanna stars in Deliveroo’s new Sky TV campaign for Family Dinneroo, bringing the chaos and joy of family dinners to life on screen.

No stranger to juggling the mental load and the “what’s for dinner” conundrum, Giovanna has shared her tried-and-tested hacks to help parents ease the pressure and make family mealtimes more enjoyable:

  1. Make a plan: If I know a busy week is coming up, I’ll plan mealtimes in advance so dinner doesn’t become another stress. I can pre order Family Dinneroo up to five days ahead, so it means you’ve already ticked dinner off the list before the chaos of the week even begins!

  2. Eat together: Growing up, we always ate dinner together, and I’ve continued this tradition with my family. Even when Tom’s away, we eat together.

  3. Ditch the phones: When you’re at the table, try to be present. No phones, no scrolling, just you and your family.

  4. Loosen the rules: My boys have loads of energy and it can be hard to get them to sit at the table for long periods. I let them get up and move about and find they always come back to finish the meal. Everyone is happier when the pressure’s off.

  5. Teach kids to share the meal rotation: In a family of five, we can’t all get our favourite meal every night. I tell my kids, sometimes it’s your favourite dish, sometimes it’s someone else’s.

  6. Think about the week, not the meal: Balance matters more than anything. If one night it’s a Deliveroo Family Dinneroo, and the next it’s a home cooked meal, that’s fine! I look at the week as a whole rather than stress about every meal.

  7. Lean on shortcuts: I batch prep veg, freeze parboiled potatoes, and always have peas and sweetcorn in the freezer. When we’re short on time, we order a Family Dineroo. Shortcuts make mealtimes so much easier!

  8. Make it special sometimes: In winter, we like to eat by candlelight. The boys love it, it turns an ordinary dinner into a magical moment.

  9. Embrace quirky traditions: My mum always served chili con carne with frankfurters, it’s completely bonkers, but it’s our tradition that I’ve carried on. Kids will remember those little family meal quirks.

  10. Take the pressure off: As parents, we have so much to remember and do, the list feels endless sometimes. The important thing is to find ways to find balance, make life easier where you can, and spend time together.
