On Christmas Eve, guests arrive in style to a warm welcome of mince pies and mulled wine and in guestrooms, the little ones will find special festive treats to help them settle in.
The Whiskey Bar or Lobby Lounge is the destination to unwind with a cocktail or warming nightcap, enhanced with joyful festive tunes from the resident pianist, throughout the Christmas period.
A Christmas stay starts each morning after Santa has visited some guests’ room and suites, with a hearty and relaxed breakfast in Seasons Restaurant, and the chance to linger over coffee or bubbles in the foyer or terrace area. Guests can embrace the festive spirit with a refreshing walk along Sandymount Strand, in Herbert Park, or by enjoying the hotel’s two acres of landscaped gardens.
A glass of bubbles welcomes guests to the Christmas Day lunch table, to enjoy a three course sumptuous festive banquet with all the trimmings prepared by Executive Chef Alberto Rossi and his team. Guests can rejuvenate in the newly refreshed Spa and wellness area, at any time over their stay, with its 14-metre indoor heated pool, as well as the sauna, steam room and gym facilities.
Festive Dining & Meet ups
Dining throughout the Christmas period is meticulously planned, with light bites and hearty meals for all tastes. The choice of four hotel restaurants and bars, as well as room service and private dining options, means you can make your Christmas visit your own.
The hotel’s famed Festive Afternoon Tea begins on November 24th to December 31st inclusive and will be served daily from 12.00 pm – 5.30 pm. This sumptuous seasonal treat created by Orna Larkin includes delicious festive savoury sandwiches, fluffy scones and Orna’s surprise festive sweet treats. Children’s Festive Afternoon Tea is also available at €35.00 per child with Festive Afternoon Tea at €70.00 per person and add a glass of Champagne, €87.00 per person. Festive Afternoon Tea requires pre-booking.
For those looking to meet with colleagues, friends or indeed family over the festive period, the luxurious surroundings of Seasons Restaurant is open for dinner bookings on Fridays and Saturdays from November 28th. A three-course set menu with the very best of seasonal and locally sourced produce all expertly prepared by Alberto Rossi and his culinary team is served Friday and Saturday from 6.30pm – 10.00pm from Friday November 28th at €80.00 per person. Seasons is also available for private hire for lunch and dinner throughout the festive season.
