Hatters’ Lane Bistro and Gertie Browne’s are re-opening their doors on Wednesday, July 1st at 5pm.
In line with government guidelines, which have been announced by Fáilte Ireland, the premises will reopen for food and drinks with all of the recommended physical distancing and health and safety measures in place. To celebrate their return to business, a new and improved menu will be available throughout both bar and bistro. The new menu will also be available as part of a new collection service.
Situated in the centre of Athlone, just a minute or two’s walk from the bank of the River Shannon, both Gertie Browne’s and Hatters’ Lane Bistro have long been favourites with the locals. Their ethos is simple – they aim to provide high-quality bistro-style dining with great service, while also featuring a mixture of the old school pub grub classics their customers have come to know and love.
The new menu features a blend of new and exciting dishes such as Chicken Supreme, Sweet Potato Gratin, Rosemary Jus, Parsnip Crisps or Haloumi & Vegetable Kebabs, Sweet Potato Fries, Tomato & Red Pepper Relish alongside customer favourites like The Hatters Burger which is an 8oz Beef Burger, served on a Toasted Brioche Bun with Streaky Bacon, Cheese, Fresh Crisp Lettuce, Roast Pepper & Tomato Relish, Coleslaw & Skinny Fries and their much-loved Traditional Fish & Chips. The aim of redesigning the menu has been to give a hat-tip to the classic dishes that customers have been coming back for year-in, year-out whilst also bringing something new to the table to enrich their dining experience.
In order to comply with Government guidelines, and keep both customers and workers safe, Hatters’ Lane Bistro and Gertie Browne’s will be implementing a number of health and safety measures; including operating at a reduced capacity. To ensure this safety, entry to both premises will be regulated to prevent overcrowding, so pre-booking is encouraged as much as possible. Hatters’ Lane Bistro and Gertie Browne’s will be serving food five days a week Wednesday through to Friday from 5 pm to 10 pm, Saturdays from 1 pm to 10 pm as well as Sundays from 1 pm to 8 pm.
