Fleur McCree, co-founder of the acclaimed New Zealand winery Little Beauty, comes to Forbes Street by Gareth Mullins on Thursday, 16th April to host an intimate wine dinner showcasing the wines made by herself and her husband in Marlborough’s Waihopai Valley. This is an opportunity to journey through some single-vineyard expressions, guided by the woman who jointly transformed a rugged sheep station into one of the region’s most respected boutique labels.

Beginning on the hotel’s iconic rooftop, with a crisp, mineral-forward glass of Little Beauty Limited Edition Dry Riesling and a selection of curated canapés overlooking the Dublin skyline, as the sun sets, the event moves to the elegant surroundings of Forbes Street, where Fleur McCree will share the deeply personal story of Little Beauty.

From the challenges of planting their first vines in 2002 to surviving the frosts, floods, and earthquakes of the South Island, Fleur’s tale is one of resilience and a profound respect for Mother Nature. Each course will be introduced by Fleur, giving insight into the ‘no compromises’ philosophy that defines the limited-edition wines made by herself and her husband Hemi, crafted in collaboration with former Cloudy Bay winemaker Eveline Fraser.

Executive Chef Gareth Mullins and his team have designed a five-course menu to mirror the elegance and aromatic intensity of Little Beauty wines. Featuring new season asparagus served with egg, parmesan, and hazelnut, perfectly by the orchard-fruit notes of the Little Beauty Limited Edition Pinot Gris, the fish course sees the Little Beauty Black Edition Sauvignon Blanc with its sophisticated, layered complexity served alongside halibut, blood orange, sourdough and samphire, to highlight the wine’s citrus profile.

The Little Beauty Black Edition Pinot Noir, with its silky tannins and expressive red fruit, will be paired with Irish spring lamb, garden peas, mint, and chimichurri, followed by a pairing of Crozier Blue, burnt apple, and figgy pudding with the exotic, floral spice of Little Beauty Limited Edition Gewürztraminer. To finish, in a nod to both Irish and Kiwi traditions, a pavlova with rhubarb and custard will be served alongside the luscious, honeyed notes of the Little Beauty Noble Edition Riesling.

This exclusive Little Beauty wine dinner on Thursday, 16th April, in Forbes Street by Gareth Mullins at Anantara The Marker Dublin Hotel is €95 per person and will be an evening of storytelling, world-class winemaking, and the very best of Irish spring produce.
