The team at Terre are celebrating this evening following the retention of their two Michelin Stars at the Michelin Guide Great Britain & Ireland Awards ceremony held in Dublin. 

Under the leadership of Executive Chef Lewis Barker, who joined Terre in September 2025, the team has successfully maintained this exceptional level of recognition, marking a significant moment in the restaurant’s ongoing progression.

Located at the luxury Castlemartyr Resort, Co. Cork, Terre opened in October 2022 and has established itself as one of Ireland’s most accomplished dining destinations, renowned for exceptional produce, precision and creativity at the highest level.

Chef Barker brings an internationally distinguished career to Terre, influenced in Michelin- starred kitchens across Europe, Asia and Australia. His culinary philosophy is rooted in classical French technique, refined through years cooking in Asia and guided by a deep respect for provenance and seasonality. At Terre, his approach places the Irish landscape at the centre of the experience, drawing inspiration from Cork’s producers, coastal waters and the estate’s own gardens to deliver cuisine that is both expressive and precise.

About Chef Lewis Barker

Lewis Barker is an English Michelin-starred chef recognised for his refined technique, creative flavour profiling, and modern European cuisine shaped by global influences. He achieved his first Michelin star at the age of 27 at Sommer in Singapore, becoming the youngest chef in the country to do so. 

His career includes roles at Sommer, Vianney Massot Restaurant, The Kitchen at Bacchanalia, and Cure in Singapore, as well as time in celebrated kitchens such as Maaemo in Oslo, Quay in Sydney, Vue de Monde in Melbourne, and Anthony’s Restaurant in Leeds where his culinary journey began.
