With October marking International Menopause Awareness Month, I wanted to share a couple of delicious Linwood’s Health Foods recipes made with Menoligna, a unique blend designed to naturally support women’s wellbeing during menopause.

Easy Hormone-Balancing Smoothie

With Only 5 Ingredients | Perfect for Menopause Support

Total Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 large handfuls kale
  • 1 grapefruit, chopped
  • 1 small banana
  • 2 tbsp Linwood’s Menoligna
  • 300–400ml coconut milk

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until completely smooth.
  2. Pour into a glass and enjoy immediately.

 

Protein-Packed Cookies

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp Linwood’s Menoligna
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 45ml maple syrup
  • 60g coconut oil, melted
  • 60g smooth almond butter
  • 200g ground almonds
  • Pinch of salt
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 70g chopped walnuts
  • 80g raspberry jam

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 160°C (320°F). Line a baking tray with parchment.
  2. Mix 2 tbsp Linwood’s Menoligna and water in a small bowl; set aside for 5 minutes.
  3. Whisk maple syrup, coconut oil, and almond butter in a bowl.
  4. Add the Menoligna mixture and stir to combine.
  5. Add ground almonds, baking powder, and salt; mix until fully combined.
  6. Combine walnuts and remaining 1 tbsp Menoligna in a separate bowl.
  7. Shape dough into 10–12 balls, roll in the walnut mixture, and place on tray.
  8. Press each cookie slightly and make an indent in the centre; fill with raspberry jam.
  9. Bake for 15 minutes, cool for 10 minutes, then transfer to a rack. Store in a sealed container in the fridge for up to four days.
