We had the pleasure of dining in Maneki last night – it was a gorgeous experience from start to finish. Situated on Dawson Street, it consists of several beautifully decorated rooms and serves up a vibrant mix of authentic Japanese dishes and lively entertainment. The atmosphere is buzzing, the food is top-notch, cocktails to die for (their new cocktail ‘Sakura Sakura’, is inspired by Japan’s iconic cherry blossoms – light, floral, and dangerously easy to sip) and the staff are so welcoming and friendly.
One of the latest additions to their standout menu is the ‘Holy Crab’ – a seafood lover’s dream that’s already turning heads. Maneki’s menu offers something for everyone, with a wide variety of meat, fish and vegetarian options, each prepared with real attention to Japanese culinary tradition.
Beyond the food and drinks, the karaoke experience is not to be missed…Whether you’re belting out your favourite hits or cheering on your friends, it’s an absolute blast. At the heart of it all is owner Polly Yang, whose warm, energetic personality gives Maneki its signature charm. She’s always on hand to make guests feel right at home.
Whether you’re in for dinner, drinks, or a full night of karaoke fun – Maneki is a must-visit spot in the city.
