Lidl Ireland is delighted to be awarded 3 prestigious stars for the Crafty Brewing Company Lager at the 2018 Great Taste Awards. Available exclusively at Lidl Ireland, the Lager is brewed by the Rye River Brewing Company under the brand The Crafty Brewing Co. The award winning Lager was described by the judges as; ‘Clean, crisp and everything a good lager should be – just so elegant. There is nowhere to hide in producing a lager and this is just pristine. Priced at just 1.89 per 500ml bottle, its jewel toned colour is indicative of a rich, deep flavour. Brewed in Celbridge, Co. Kildare, the The Crafty Brewing Co began in 2013, and has grown to a team of 40 people, who produce over twenty different beers. 

The 3 Star Award is awarded to less than 3% of extraordinarily tasty food products each year. This year, the Crafty Brewing Company Lager has also been entered into judging for consideration for the Golden Fork Award, The Great Taste’s most prestigious award. Results will be announced in September 2018.
