Glovers Alley by Andy McFadden is a contemporary, refined dining restaurant overlooking the iconic St Stephen’s Green in Dublin. Dublin-born chef Andy McFadden returned home from London especially to open the restaurant, named after a laneway that runs alongside it.
Andy oversaw a €1.3 million investment that on-boarded London design studio Project Orange who transformed the upstairs space, formerly occupied by Thornton’s, into a spectacular, 70-seater destination restaurant encompassing a main dining area along with private and semi-private dining areas. The chic, glamorous and sophisticated interior is decorated in moss green leather and powder pink upholstery with walnut panelling, a mirrored ceiling and marble table tops, making it more than a match for the lovely views out to St Stephen’s Green.
The relaxed and refined ambience of Glovers Alley by Andy McFadden is the perfect backdrop for experiencing Andy McFadden’s Modern French cooking showcasing top-end seasonal ingredients.
Andy works closely with Ireland’s most dedicated farmers and food producers to create a series of unique and exciting dishes, all of which reflect his signature style of French-influenced elegance and refinement. Each dish is carefully crafted to ensure the best of each ingredient is brought to the fore. Andy has designed four menus for Glovers Alley by Andy McFadden – a Tasting Menu, Á La Carte Dinner Menu, Lunch Menu and Pre-Theatre Menu.
On the first Friday of each month, Andy McFadden opens up his restaurant kitchen to food enthusiasts for his interactive Glovers Alley Kitchen Experience. From 10:00am to 12:15pm, Andy will host a Glovers Alley Kitchen Experience for up to four people in the restaurant kitchen. They will learn tips and techniques from Andy and his team, bake delicious bread and get to taste Glovers Alley dishes. At 12:30pm, participants will swap the kitchen for the chic and sumptuous dining room in Glovers Alley, where they will sip a glass of Champagne before enjoying a specially created four-course lunch menu with paired wines prepared by Andy and his team.
The Glovers Alley Kitchen Experience and four-course lunch with paired wines is priced at €145 per person. If you’d like to bring a guest along for lunch, a dining-only option is available for an additional €95 per person.
