40 high quality wines will be hitting ALDI shelves nationwide from September 9th!

ALDI is thrilled to launch its new autumn/winter wine range for 2025. Landing in stores nationwide from September 9th, this year’s collection features reds, whites, rosé, orange wine, and fizz, as well as a selection of alcohol-free options. From crisp autumn evenings to festive gatherings, there’s a bottle to suit every occasion this season.

Speaking about the range, Tom Doorley, top Irish wine expert and ALDI Ambassador, said: “As we prepare for the nights to draw in, this year’s collection feels perfectly suited to the season, blending timeless classics with exciting new discoveries from the likes of Moldova and Slovenia. I can already spot a couple of surefire favourites in this line-up!”

To celebrate the launch, Tom Doorley has shared his top picks from the collection:

  • Specially Selected Moldovan Rară Neagră €9.99 Something different for the cooler months, this is a rich red with ripe plum, blueberry and blackberry, ripe and round tannins and proper length.

 

  • Patagonian Malbec €10.99 A real rarity from Argentina that’s much more than a South American Malbec! This is from the southernmost part of the that Continent, a cool climate wine from a stunning landscape: Autumnal bramble fruit with dark chocolate, spice and fresh acidity as the backbone.

 

  • Austrian Orange Wine €11.99 Definitely different, a skin contact white wine – well, orange really – with just a touch of tropical fruit with the spicy pepperiness of Grüner Veltliner, finishing with a slight tannic kick.

 

  • Slovenian Pinot Grigio / Sauvignon Blanc €11.99 Slovenian white wine bursting with fruity freshness and citrus zest, it’s floral and deliciously different, a new take on favourite grapes.

 

  • Terret Blanc €12.99 ALDI is always bringing something new to the table and here’s an offbeat grape from Southern France. Bone dry, elegant with steely minerality, it’s chance to enjoy a real rarity.

 

  • Method Cap Classique €14.99 Classic indeed, this South African sparkler is made in the same way as Champagne. Supremely stylish with persistent bubbles, almost creamy in the mouth, with citrus, red apple and brioche.
