Zambrero has officially opened its newest restaurant at Marina Market, Cork’s largest indoor and outdoor market, marking the brand’s fifth location in Cork. The new opening joins Zambrero’s existing Cork locations at Dennehy’s Cross, Douglas Village Shopping Centre, Sallybrook in Glanmire, and Eastgate in Little Island.
Darragh Fanning, General Manager of Zambrero Ireland, said: “We’re delighted to open our fifth Zambrero location in Cork, particularly in such a landmark destination as Marina Market, which has become a real hub for social gatherings, great atmosphere and quality food. I previously visited Marina Market while holidaying in Cork, and saw first-hand the incredible energy and mix of brands it brings together, so it’s fantastic to now see Zambrero become part of that offering and bring even more choice to customers.”
The new location joins more than 35 food outlets and retail stands based just outside Cork city centre. Darragh added, “We’re also delighted to be joining such a strong line-up of brilliant food operators and restaurants within the market, all of which help make Marina Market such a unique destination for locals and visitors alike.”
Known for its fresh, Mexican-inspired dishes and modern superfood ingredients, Zambrero offers a healthier alternative to traditional fast food. The menu features burritos, bowls, tacos, nachos, quesadillas, and a wide range of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, all made to order.
In addition to serving healthy Mexican cuisine, Zambrero remains committed to its Plate4Plate initiative. With every burrito or bowl purchased, a meal is donated to people in need through Zambrero’s charity partner, Rise Against Hunger. Through the initiative, customers can help support the fight against global hunger, with the programme reaching the milestone of 100 million meals donated in 2025.
Zambrero now has 37 locations nationwide, with the Marina Market opening forming part of its continued expansion plans for 2026.
Zambrero will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. in Marina Market, Centre Park Rd, Cork, T12 YX76.
