This May, Faithlegg is hosting a celebratory wine evening with Cederberg Wines. On Friday, 22nd May, guests will enjoy an evening filled with Executive Chef Jenny Flynn’s creative dishes, perfectly paired with the crisp, fresh wines of Cederberg. Together, these pairings promise an unforgettable evening.

Cederberg Wines is an award-winning farm owned by David Nieuwoudt, the fifth generation of the Nieuwoudt family. This family-owned farm is located in the Cederberg Wilderness Area and sits within a unique climatic zone best described as cool Mediterranean rather than maritime or coastal. Cederberg proudly lays claim to having the highest vineyards in the Western Cape, ranging between 950 and 1,100 metres above sea level.

Since assuming leadership in 1997, David Nieuwoudt has guided Cederberg Wines to a series of remarkable achievements. The estate’s Chardonnay earned a 4.5-star rating in the 1999 Platter’s South African Wine Guide, while the Cederberg Shiraz 2018 claimed gold at the 2021 Syrah du Monde which is an international competition celebrating the world’s finest Syrah wines. The farm has also been recognised twice among Wine Magazine’s Top 10 Wine Farms in South Africa.

Your evening at Faithlegg will begin with carefully curated canapés and arrival drinks in Bar 1783. Once seated, Executive Chef Jenny Flynn’s thoughtfully designed six-course tasting menu, expertly paired with Cederberg Wines will begin.

Experience award-winning family- owned wines presented by owner David Nieuwoudt, paired with a locally sourced menu and enjoy an evening of lively discussion, flavour and discovery in the elegant surroundings of Faithlegg on Friday, May 22nd.
