Dublin’s storied literary past is set to reach new heights—quite literally—with the launch of ‘Writers from the Rooftop’, a unique tour on Croke Park’s Kellogg’s Skyline. Running on select dates in March and April, this new experience offers visitors an exhilarating blend of panoramic city views and rich storytelling, celebrating the writers who have shaped Ireland’s literary identity and landscape.

Perched 17 storeys above the iconic pitch, participants will walk along rooftop platforms and suspended walkways, taking in unrivalled 360-degree views of the capital. From the winding River Liffey to the city’s historic streets, the very landscape that inspired generations of writers unfolds beneath them.

Led by expert guides, the tour explores Dublin’s literary heritage, tracing the influence of its greatest writers while spotlighting the city’s continuing role in shaping contemporary literary voices. With every step along the Skyline, visitors will hear tales of Dublin’s famed literary haunts, landmark inspirations, and the creative energy that still pulses through the city today.

The ‘Writers from the Rooftop’ tour is a special edition of the award-winning Kellogg’s Skyline Tour and promises an unforgettable experience for book lovers, history enthusiasts, those curious about the creative spirit of the city and visitors eager to see Dublin from a fresh perspective.

Operating at a height of 44 metres on the roof of Croke Park, the tour runs in most weather conditions, so visitors are advised to dress accordingly. Suitable for fit individuals aged 16 and over.

Tours will run at 10:30am on the following Sundays: March 16th, March 23rd, April 6th, April 20th and tickets which can be booked online are priced at €20 for adults and €18 for students and seniors.

In addition to the tour, access to the GAA Museum is included, where visitors can explore the incredible club wall, learn fun facts about the GAA and Croke Park, and test their hurling and football skills in the interactive games zone.
