The collaboration between the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Finalists will see a customer favourite revamped and include an exclusive Keogh’s product

November 2023: Lorraine Heskin, CEO & Founder of Gourmet Food Parlour, leading independent Irish restaurant and catering group, partners up with fellow EY Entrepreneur of the Year finalist, Tom Keogh, Managing Director of Keogh’s Farm and Founder of Keogh’s Crisps for an exciting Christmas collaboration. Every year customers wait (not so patiently!) for the legendary Gourmet Food Parlour Christmas Sandwich to become available. The delicious sandwich has built up a huge fanbase over the years, with customers always elated to see it return to the specials menu at their local Gourmet Food Parlour. This year, there will be even more excitement, with a revamped recipe and the pairing of an exclusive Keogh’s Crisps product.

The new Gourmet Food Parlour Christmas Sandwich will include roast turkey and baked ham cooked to perfection by their expert chefs. Along with festive stuffing, warm camembert and rocket, the jam-packed sandwich will be served on a fluffy toasted ciabatta, smothered in vodka cranberry sauce and sage aioli. Altogether the sandwich creates the perfect combination of classic festive flavours, with some new additions to set tastebuds alight. The sandwich is accompanied by Keogh’s Camembert & Rosemary Crinkle Cut Crisps. Exclusively available in Gourmet Food Parlour locations across Ireland, this Keogh’s flavour is a must try for fans of the brand. Not only are they exclusive, they also pair perfectly with the flavours within the new and improved Christmas Sandwich. A must for festive foodies and crisp fans alike.

Gourmet Food Parlour has been working with the team at Keogh’s for many years. With Gourmet Food Parlour having three restaurants in North Dublin, and the Keogh’s family business being based in the same area, a partnership was natural. This year the relationship evolved further with both brand leaders being part of the EY Entrepreneur of the Year programme, which sees Ireland’s greatest business talent come together to learn, share and become part of a valuable business community.

On the collaboration and the launch of the Christmas Sandwich, CEO of Gourmet Food Parlour and EY Entrepreneur of the Year finalist, Lorraine Heskin, said: “We love working with Keogh’s and have been lucky to do so for many years. With our brands becoming more connected than ever this year, we wanted to come together and create something special for all of our valued customers. The Christmas Sandwich is honestly one of the most beloved items that Gourmet Food Parlour creates! We get messages as early as August sometimes asking when it will launch, so to give it a bit of a revamp is very exciting. We’re still keeping all of the things that everyone loves about it, but just giving it a lift. What better way to add the cherry on top of the new recipe that partnering with Keogh’s. We’re so excited to hear from customers and expect the sandwich to fly out the door as it does every year.”
