The latest addition to the Stella Cinema complex, The Stella Steakhouse will offer an unforgettable dining experience in the heart of Rathmines. Opened on Friday 4th August, the 60 seat restaurant will further enhance and complement the offering of The Stella Cinema and Stella Cocktail Club as a go to destination for luxury date nights and occasions.

Previously home to the much-loved Stella Diner, this protected building adjacent to the Stella Cinema will now embark on a new chapter as a luxury steakhouse offering the very finest cuts cooked to perfection over a Robata grill.

Beef is sourced from artisan butcher John Stone, purveyors of the highest quality dry aged beef from Ballymahon, County Longford. Guests can select their choice of cut, from Picanha or fillet, to Côte de boeuf to share, and enjoy to their liking with an array of sauces and sides. John Stone’s commitment to quality and unmatched expertise means that we can guarantee the very best and most tender steaks for our customers. Watch out for our daily chalkboard specials, which will highlight a selection of cuts from abroad, including Australian wagyu and grass-fed beef from New Zealand, authentic Japanese wagyu, Uruguayan grain fed beef and prime cuts from Creekstone farm in Arkansas, USA.

Whilst the beef is of course the star of the show, there are plenty of inspiring dishes to choose from, including an array of seafood starters and mains, fresh pastas and sumptuous desserts.

The drinks menu showcases an extensive range of beverages, from the selection of carefully chosen wine to classic cocktails that are simplistic, balanced and elegant. We use the highest quality ingredients to elevate classic cocktails to the next level using very slight modern twists, such as the house Gimlet created using homemade lime cordial, and the signature New York Sour with apple brandy, topped with a rich tawny port.

The interiors of the restaurant will transport you to 1920s New York, where many of the world’s most famous steakhouses were born around the city’s theatre district as prohibition-era speakeasies, becoming popular after-show hangouts for celebrities and gangsters alike. A long pewter topped counter runs down the right side of the room, overlooking the Robata grill and expert chefs at work. The back bar features bespoke metal detailing created by expert metal craft workers, whilst big comfy leather booths surround the room, set against scalloped detailed walnut wood panelling, providing the perfect space to settle in and enjoy a long evening of great food and drink.
