BREWDOG OPENS ITS SECOND IRISH VENUE WITH CORK BAR, BRINGING THE IMMERSIVE WORLD OF CRAFT BEER TO IRELAND’s ‘REAL’ CAPITAL
Independent Scottish craft brewer BrewDog is inviting fans of craft beer to dive into their now-legendary line-up at their newest bar, in the centre of Cork city. Arriving at the height of summer, BrewDog Cork is bringing a trailblazing range of craft beer, good food and great times to a city with a rich brewing history.
- Since their inception, BrewDog has remained at the forefront of the craft beer revolution, and to celebrate arriving in Cork a draw is being held on opening day to win Beer For A Year, plus some other great prizes.
- BrewDog Cork throws open its doors at 12:00pm on Friday 22nd July, and is located at 1-2 Courthouse Street, just off Washington Street, in the heart of the Cork city’s thriving craft beer scene.
- The venue has 2 floors, with a bar on each floor, plus a cosy Mezzanine. Each bar will have 30 taps of the freshest craft beer from BrewDog plus curated local guest breweries, with a take-away service available for those needing beers to go. The bar will also serve an exclusive brew from Original 7 Brewery called Judges Pup, plus spirits and wine, and coffee from Soma.
- To power a day’s sightseeing, or just the rest of the day, BrewDog Cork will offer the brewer’s legendary menu of burgers and wings as well as great vegan and salad options. There is also a local addition, The Ultimate Cork Boy, a Cork spiced beef burger.
- The bar welcomes to all four-legged friends, so much so that the bar features a Paws of Fame and regular doggy treats available alongside K9 hydration station.
- Open 7 Days from 12noon, the menu sits alongside 2-for-1 vegan and vegetarian mains every Monday and BrewDog Wings Wednesday; all you can eat spicy buffalo chicken or buffalo cauliflower wings for just €10.
- For those looking to take a deeper dive into craft beer, BrewDog Cork will be running ‘Beer School’ sessions; guided tastings led by Cicerone-trained staff, discovering the flavours and backstories to five beers over a geeky, laid-back couple of hours.
- The Bar franchise will be run by Cork group Westside Leisure who have operated a number of successful bars across the Cork city for 40 years.
