This festive season, Boann Distillery invites Irish cocktail lovers to celebrate in style with three new beautifully balanced, easy-to-make cocktails featuring Silks Irish Gin and The Whistler Irish Whiskey range.

Whether stirred, shaken, or savoured slowly, these festive serves embody the warmth and spirit of an Irish Christmas.

Silks Hot Apple Gin

Warm up winter evenings with a Silks Hot Apple Gin – a cozy twist on a mulled classic.

Ingredients:

  • 100ml Silks Irish Dry Gin
  • 400ml good quality apple juice
  • Four Cloves
  • Two Cardamom pods
  • Peel of one orange
  • Two Star anise
  • One Cinnamon Stick
  • Red Apple Fan to garnish

Method: In a pot, combine all ingredients except the gin. Heat to a gentle simmer, then remove and allow to cool slightly. Strain into a heat-safe glass, add Silks Gin, and stir.

Garnish: Red apple fan

The Whistler P.X. I Love You Manhattan

A luxurious Irish twist on the classic Manhattan, this serve highlights the deep sherry notes of The Whistler P.X. I Love You, finished in Pedro Ximénez casks.

Ingredients:

  • 45 ml The Whistler P.X. I Love You
  • 25 ml Bianco Vermouth
  • 5 ml Apricot Liqueur
  • 1 dash Angostura Bitters
  • 1 dash Orange Bitters

Method: Stir all ingredients with ice and strain into a Pony glass.
Garnish: Maraschino cherry

The Whistler – The Good, The Bad & The Sazerac

A bold, complex, and smoky take on a cocktail classic. The Whistler The Good, The Bad & The Smoky brings layers of sweetness and spice to a winter warmer.

Ingredients:

  • 30 ml The Whistler The Good, The Bad & The Smoky
  • 30 ml Sweet Vermouth
  • 2.5 ml (½ bar spoon) Rich Syrup
  • 2.5 ml (½ bar spoon) Absinthe

Method: Stir ingredients with ice and strain into a Rocks glass with a block of ice.
Garnish: Lemon peel coin

The Whistler Mosaic Marsala Cobbler

Bright, vibrant, and festive, this cocktail celebrates the fruity character of The Whistler Mosaic Marsala Cask. Fresh citrus and almond notes make it the perfect serve for holiday brunches and celebrations.

Ingredients:

  • 40 ml The Whistler Mosaic
  • 15 ml Marsala Secco Wine
  • 30 ml Orange Juice
  • 10 ml Lime Juice
  • 15 ml Orgeat (Almond Syrup)

Method: Shake all ingredients with ice and transfer into a Round Rocks glass with the ice.

Garnish: Mint and Cacao dust
