Orwell Road is a casual neighbourhood restaurant in the heart of Dublin’s Rathgar, with all the love, effort, and attention to detail you would expect in a fine dining restaurant. We focus on creating beautiful food and a unique atmosphere for our customers. Approaching our cooking with humility and a team mentality, we focus on helping each other grow and learn, together. This philosophy extends throughout the restaurant from the kitchen to our front of house, working together as colleagues and friends to ensure that Orwell Road is a space that respects and adds to our local community.
Guided by head chef Daniel Hannigan, our kitchen uses as many local, Irish ingredients as we can get our hands on, with a clear focus on sustainable sourcing. In creating our menu we have one defining rule: everything must be delicious. Maintaining this simple idea is at the core of everything we do, and we were honoured to be added to the MICHELIN Guide. We want each member of our team to be excited by their day-to-day and we strive to ensure our workplace is a positive and energetic environment. We believe this is an essential ingredient to creating great food in a wonderful atmosphere. The whole team was thrilled to see our hard work rewarded by the Irish Restaurant Awards, which named Orwell Road 'Newcomer of the Year' in 2022.
Respect for the incredible ingredients we use is a fundamental part of our philosophy and approach to how we make food. As a team, we have worked hard to find incredible suppliers who put their heart and soul into growing, making, and raising the ingredients we use. We show respect for our suppliers and their produce by setting out to make every dish we create delicious, whilst avoiding needless waste.
Come and enjoy Brunch in our informal, relaxed restaurant only 20 minutes from St Stephen’s Green and a 5-minute walk from the Balally Luas stop.
Overends Kitchen is a place where we connect land and table, farmer and eater in an environment that is casual and engaging. Our dining experience at Airfield is inspired by the visionary Overend Sisters and the 38-acre farm that they entrusted us with to produce honest, great-tasting food.
We design our menu (even the cocktails!) around the weekly harvest and produce from our garden and farm teams in Airfield Estate.
We’re serving amazing McCabe’s coffee and teas along with freshly baked items such as bread, pastry, cakes, cookies, as well as breakfast, brunch and lunch. All utilising the fresh produce from the farm.
Open Wednesday-Sunday 9am-4pm (last orders 3pm).

Pearl Brasserie opened its doors on the 7th of December 2000. Our first objective was to build a team with a hunger to learn and a passion for detail. The same hard work is being asked of our Irish and Continental suppliers, so we are able to get the best Irish and French produce on a daily basis.
Culinary ingenuity and skill from the kitchen combines with warm, welcoming, professional service delivering one of Dublin’s premier fine dining experiences.
Pearl Brasserie continues to perform at the top of the game in Dublin. Bon Appetit!
Casual dining may still be the big story but fine dining is far from dead – and, regardless of style, the restaurants that are performing best are those led by people like our long established Chef of the Year, who are grounded in classical cooking.
In a town where new restaurants are stealing the limelight every month it’s reassuring to know that some of the long-established gems – like this one, almost hidden from view and beloved by savvy diners for 23 years – are as delightful, and as relevant, as the day they first opened. Luxurious, innovative and sophisticated, it has been known for consistently excellent food since opening in 2000. Everything this owner chef is serving up is top class and, despite being there for many years, he keeps his cooking fresh, on trend, yet very true to his classic roots.
Everything is perfectly seasoned, beautifully presented and a pure pleasure to eat. Quality ingredients, classic techniques and lovely Irish touches make his food a great showcase for Ireland. The full vegetarian menu offered is inspired and the cheese trolley is both traditional and stylish. Furthermore, standards in general have never slipped at this lovely restaurant – staff are impeccably briefed and service is invariably first class.
But the real star is the Frenchman at the helm, whose sophisticated cooking is as exciting, beautiful and relevant as ever – and in many ways it’s even better.

Fast fired pizza with incredible flavour and the finest, freshest ingredients served alongside indulgent on-tap cocktails - Proof Pizza embodies real, honest and delicious food within a chic and stylish setting. Established in the vibrant heart of the Liberties and expanding throughout Dublin soon...
After 13 years building KC Peaches we wanted a new challenge which still embodied our belief in real, honest, healthy and delicious food that is worth the wait… without the wait. We think your time should be spent enjoying food, not waiting for it.
Proof has been born out of these core beliefs and a whole lot of love for pizza. We wanted to bring our take on fresh, authentic fast-fired Romano style crispy pizza. All our pizzas are prepared daily using a combination of 00 and wholemeal flour to create our light and crispy base and seasonal, locally sourced produce where possible. Our pizza sauce is made from our own secret recipe using San Marzano Tomatoes and a unique spice blend..

The idea for Sano came about after the MacHugh twin brothers visited Naples. All pizzas in Naples are made the Neapolitan way, using sourdough for the base, and cooked in traditional stone ovens at 500 degrees. Not only were these pizzas delicious, they had the added benefit of a much lower salt content, a lot less than the traditional pizza bases we are all used to. The other thing that struck the twins was how affordable the pizzas were – everywhere they went in Naples, the pizzerias were jammed packed with friends & families, all out enjoying fine food at affordable prices. Thereafter they set off to open a Neapolitan pizzeria in Dublin, sourced traditional stone ovens and purchased two direct from the manufacturer in the heart of Naples. Not long after, they found a suitable site and transformed it into Sano Pizza.
Their goal is to serve the customers the finest Neapolitan Pizzas, at an affordable cost, along with competitive cost for drinks, sides and desserts, ensuring everyone can afford to visit and enjoy Sano.
At Sano Pizza our Neapolitan Pizza is a softer style pizza, its chewy crusts and delicious flavours make is stand out from the crowd. Our dough is made on site daily using only 4 ingredients: flour, water, salt and yeast, and fermented for a minimum of 48 hours. Our pizzas are then stretched by hand, topped with authentic Italian ingredients and cooked for less than 90 seconds at 500°c in our beautiful ovens, all the way from Naples.
Open 12noon - 11pm

New York City, 1965. A New York City perfume salesman named Alan Stillman walks into a bar located at First Avenue and 63rd Street. His idea was to attract trendy models and stewardesses into the neighborhood by jazzing up this unassuming beer joint. Single-handedly, the perfume man turns this modest location into an instant success. He called it TGI Fridays™.
Built upon a legacy of great food, inventive drinks and big fun, Fridays™ has become a favorite place for friends to congregate together and enjoy a casual dining experience. We have brought the world such famous signature items as our Loaded Potato Skins, Chicken Fingers, Buffalo Wings, our Jack Daniel’s Grill® and classic concoctions like our Signature Margarita and the Ultimate Mudslide. The flips and spins of our ingenius flair bartending have become legendary, not to mention our wait staff’s unstoppable service and never-ending smiles. Today, we have more than 931 TGI Fridays™ in some 60 countries worldwide. And, since every day is Friday at TGI Fridays™ that’s 6,517 Fridays™ every single week.

The Chili Club opened as Dublin’s first Thai Restaurant in 1991 and is cosily situated in Anne’s Lane just off Grafton Street.
Irish owned, it is a long-time favourite with Dublin’s restaurant-goers. The Chili Club offers a variety of delicious authentic Thai food cooked by Head Chef Pornsak Wachum and his team of Thai chefs. Originally from Nakhon Phanom, he cooks using only fresh herbs and spices, renowned for his delectable green curry.
The restaurant is small and intimate, with candle-lit tables. A warm and friendly atmosphere ensures lunch or dinner is always a pleasurable experience.
The top floor offers an intimate private dining area to cater for up to 16 guests for any special occasion or corporate event.
There is nothing like The Garden Room in Dublin. In this city, it’s utterly unique.
As the now-famous Merrion grew, a courtyard garden appeared right in the very heart of the hotel. A formal garden, complete with fountain, overlooked by the drawing rooms and guestrooms on three sides and the blue skies above.
On the fourth side, to the east, we have created a light and airy space that opens onto the garden and becomes a part of it. This is The Garden Room.
From the beginning we wanted it to be a less formal affair. Somewhere to unwind and laugh with friends over a refreshingly cold bottle of rosé and a deliciously fresh seafood salad. A secret garden where you’ll find little groups of people who love each other’s company and others, dining alone, happy to enjoy a brief escape with just themselves. Weather permitting, we’ll open those great floor-to-ceiling glass doors to the garden terrace for true al fresco dining.
Our menus were all painstakingly designed by master head chef Ed Cooney with also including a vegan menu offering created in collaboration with Holly White.
His idea is to keep everything brilliantly simple. To not over-complicate anything but to help keep The Garden Room a relaxed, informal, sanctuary of sanity. The menus feature modern Irish food from artisan food producers and our wonderful natural harvest from land and sea.
The Garden Room is open all day, serving brunch, snacks, lunch and dinner.
