    Our fish, chicken, duck and lamb are selected by our head chef from quality assured Irish farms whose origin is quoted on our seasonal menus. Our signature steaks matured for a minimum of 28 days for maximum flavour and tenderness chosen by our master butcher, Harry Buckley, who also ensures that we use only 100 percent Irish Hereford beef.

    We work with a limited number of wine suppliers who visit the winemakers to ensure that each vintage in our impressive range of wines has been carefully chosen from grape to glass.

    In addition to our carefully selected menu, our extensive range of cocktails are expertly mixed by our team of mixologists who use the best ingredients to produce outstanding drinks that are not to be missed.

  • Our steak restaurant hasn’t been here long, but the building has. First conceived as the grand HQ of Ireland’s National Bank, today it makes a special place for our steak and seafood on College Green. The decorative 40-foot cast-iron dome above our main dining room certainly sets a stately tone; our elegant bar and private dining rooms, too.

    We’re easy to find, just next to Parliament Square and Trinity College, and a short walk away from Temple Bar and Dublin Castle.     Now, for those looking to really dive in, there’s our Sunday feasting option. The regular dry-aged rump swaps out for a kingly sharing steak – handpicked by you from the blackboard and cooked the way you like it.     In a town where new restaurants are stealing the limelight every month it’s reassuring to know that some of the long-established gems – like this one, almost hidden from view and beloved by savvy diners for 23 years – are as delightful, and as relevant, as the day they first opened. Luxurious, innovative and sophisticated, it has been known for consistently excellent food since opening in 2000. Everything this owner chef is serving up is top class and, despite being there for many years, he keeps his cooking fresh, on trend, yet very true to his classic roots.

    Everything is perfectly seasoned, beautifully presented and a pure pleasure to eat. Quality ingredients, classic techniques and lovely Irish touches make his food a great showcase for Ireland. The full vegetarian menu offered is inspired and the cheese trolley is both traditional and stylish. Furthermore, standards in general have never slipped at this lovely restaurant – staff are impeccably briefed and service is invariably first class.

    But the real star is the Frenchman at the helm, whose sophisticated cooking is as exciting, beautiful and relevant as ever – and in many ways it’s even better.

    Fire & Salt offers relaxed, fine dining in a sophisticated, contemporary space. Our menu features the finest meats, fish, dairy, vegetarian and vegan dishes for all tastes and appetites. Signature dishes include hand-picked beef, dry-aged for up to 36 days in Himalayan sea-salt – our name derives from the fire which seals and caramelises the steak and the salt which seasons it.

    Every dish is thoughtfully designed and matched with tempting sauces, crisp fresh vegetables, and various potato sides.

    Topping off a memorable meal, our desserts are skilfully constructed and beautifully decorated by our very talented pastry chef. They are almost too good to eat … but only if you have the willpower to resist.

    The Coach House Brasserie
