    The newly refurbished restaurant at the 4* Abbey Hotel in Roscommon has been recently refurbished to an exceptionally high standard and offers a varied range of dishes prepared from only the freshest of locally sourced produce and served with great care and attention to detail, therefore making it the perfect setting, whether dining in Roscommon for business or pleasure.

    We offer an extensive Seasonal Bar Food Menu for those wishing for a less formal experience. Lounge Food is served daily from 4.30 - 9.00p.m. Afternoon Tea is available (with prior booking essential)

    It is advisable to make dinner reservations as our restaurant and lounge areas can be very busy at weekends and during the busy peak season. We also have a new Pizza Menu available to eat in or take out.

    After dinner guests can relax by the open fire in the luxurious newly refurbished lounge areas or in the Abbey Hotel Bar. There is an extensive drinks and 'Wines of the World' menu to choose from and a range of Cocktails. We also serve an extensive range of craft beers, whiskeys, and liquors.

Our chefs will tailor a specific menu to suit your individual taste and budget. We change our menu seasonally and our team of chefs are always adventurous by adding some exciting new dishes, including a delicious plant based vegan steak au poivre - grilled Vegan Steak with sautéed onion and mushrooms and black peppercorn sauce served with an Organic leaf salad, a popular dish which goes down a treat with our growing vegan customer base" added Geraldine Grealy, Director of Marketing & Public Relations at the Abbey.

    The Abbey Hotel is renowned for it's Sunday Lunch with Carvery Lunch served from 12.00pm - 4.00pm.

    We also serve a Four-Course Lunch Menu in our award-winning Restaurant.

    Dinner is served from 6pm - 9pm each evening with Seasonal Bar Food served from 4.30 - 9.00 p.m daily.

    Our exquisite Dinner Menu comprises of a Set Menu or you can choose from our A La Carte Menu. Special Occasion Menus are available for Dinner Dances, Gala Balls, Christenings, Birthday Parties, Communions, Confirmation, and Retirement parties.

    We are delighted to introduce to you our Executive Head Chef Daniel Willimont, originally from the UK Daniel began his journey at The Royal College of Catering in Cheltenham, England. His weekends were spent in kitchens alongside Raymond Le Blanc and Gordon Ramsey as well as reputable Bakeries and Butchers gaining invaluable experience he applies throughout his professional career in the kitchen. Beginning his career in fine dining restaurants and hotels, in the beautiful scenic region of the Cotswolds, England. Daniels plan was to temporarily re-locate to Ireland in 2003 after finishing work in a 2 Michelin Star restaurant he wanted to recharge his batteries and focus on his international travels. His mother a Waterford native and father a Londoner were building a house in Mayo in which he lent a hand and fell in love with Ireland. The rest is history…

    Daniel is classically trained in French Cuisine; but during his life travels he has gained further skills not only about cooking and preparing food but also in the understanding of methods and use of ingredients. His strong passion for all elements of cooking have led him to develop garden and estate grown produce reinforcing his ethos of using only locally sourced produce and home grown ingredients for his dishes. Throughout Daniels career he has grown and developed businesses from small operations to successfully achieving Michelin BIB Gourmand status.
