  • Aqua Restaurant offers a truly unique dining experience.

Travel just 25 minutes outside of Dublin City Centre or from Dublin Airport to discover Howth, a picturesque fishing village. The harbour offers a gorgeous respite from the City hustle and bustle during the day, and at night is lit up with returning fishing boats delivering their catch to local restaurants.

Aqua sits at the very end of the West Pier in the first floor of a building that in a former life belonged to Howth Sailing Club. From the dining area you can enjoy through floor to ceiling windows, the panoramic view across Howth sound to the island of Ireland’s Eye, a magical island both visually and historically. The views are truly legendary and mentioned often in reviews of Aqua! From the east facing windows of the restaurant the full splendour of the harbour, the marina, and the working fishing pier can be enjoyed.

The bar at Aqua is cosy, with deep window-seats and black-framed charcoal drawings by local artists. It is a true haven to enjoy a pre or post dining drink. The only challenge is to rise from the couches and continue on your journey! We look forward to welcoming you to Aqua at our home in Howth!

  • Here in Brookwood we serve the finest steaks, seafood & cocktails across three floors of dining.

    Steak perfection takes time

All of our beef is sourced from the finest Irish Black Angus herds.  Our butcher uses traditional dry ageing methods and hangs our beef for a minimum of 35 days.  This dry ageing process creates a far superior depth of  flavour.  This is achieved in two ways, firstly the process removes moisture from the meat creating a greater concentration of flavour and secondly the natural enzymes break down the muscle and tissue resulting in a far more tender piece of meat.

    Steak perfection!

Have a drink from the bar

To complete your Brookwood experience, our expert bar tenders are always on hand, ready to serve you the finest cocktails made from the best of ingredients.  We also have a fantastic range of Irish craft beers and our wine list has been lovingly created with something for all tastes buds.

So when you come to Brookwood get ready to sit down, relax and enjoy!

    Private Dining

The Club Room is what makes Brookwood so special. Situated on the top floor, there is no other private dining room like it in Dublin. This luxurious room has been designed to the best possible standard. The room features a Bang & Olufsen 50" flat screen TV and music system, perfect for presentations or any sporting events. Exclusively to our Club Room guests we offer a premium bottle service and a private waiter who will ensure you a top class experience no matter what the occasion. • Welcome to La Côte

Located on Custom Quay overlooking the Irish Sea and Wexford’s famous Mussel Trawlers, La Côte is a contemporary seafood restaurant owned and run by Michelin-trained chef Paul Hynes and his wife Edwina.

Offering Irish seafood with a modern European influence, La Côte allows Paul to showcase his love of seafood cuisine as chef/patron and where Edwina, as a restaurant manager, ensures a welcoming and attentive service.  Our menus are inspired by the fresh local produce we can gather from land and sea, and we are proud to work with dedicated food producers, farmers and chefs.

La Côte’s many accolades to date include Seafood Restaurant of the Year 2016 by the Georgina Campbell Ireland Guide and, more recently, Best Restaurant and Best Chef for County Wexford at the 2018 Irish Restaurant Awards. The restaurant is holder of the L’Assiette Michelin, or Michelin Plate, indicating a restaurant of noteworthy, quality food.

    Our Story

Following years in Michelin-star establishments such as L’Ecrivain in Dublin and Arbutus and Tom Aikens in London, Paul returned to his native Wexford and continued to work with some excellent chefs such as Roberto Pons of La Dolce Vita & Alan Foley of The Step House prior to opening La Côte with his wife Edwina in 2014.

Like Paul, Edwina is a trained chef and has years of experience in restaurant management. La Côte is the realisation of their dream to create a modern Irish seafood restaurant to channel their passion for good food and fine local produce; an eatery to showcase Paul’s wonderful skill and natural talent for cooking seafood and Edwina’s flair for front of house.

Food is a passion for Paul and Edwina. Outside La Côte, you will find Paul fishing and them both foraging their way around Wexford. Paul is always experimenting with new flavours and textures in the kitchen and they travel regularly to seek out new dining and food experiences for inspiration.

Paul and Edwina believe that great ingredients create great dishes and are passionate about using local, seasonal produce. Fish at La Côte is always fresh and delivered to the restaurant on the day it is caught. Menus at La Côte change with the seasons and are inspired by what can be sourced locally: freshly caught fish off Wexford’s Kilmore Quay; meat sourced from local farmers; artisan breads baked by Paul; herbs, plants and sea vegetables grown themselves or foraged for locally; edible flowers and herbs grown in the restaurant’s window boxes. It is not uncommon to find Paul fishing for a piece of prized sea bass or mackerel, foraging in Ferrycarrig for some wild garlic or in Curracloe for samphire. Their inspiration comes from what is on their doorstep in Wexford and this is reflected in the menus at La Côte.

  • VISIT LINNANE'S

Linnane’s Lobster Bar is located in the heart of the Burren, County Clare. Take in the fantastic views of Aughinish & Galway Bay while surrounded by sea and limestone landscape. Watch as boats come and go from the Pier at New Quay, fishing for the shellfish that can be served straight to your table. Built over 300 years ago to function as a post office and public house the building has remained at the centre of the New Quay community for generations. In recent years an extension was built onto the back opening up some wonderful views of the bay.

    DINE WITH US

When visiting the Burren, Linnane’s Lobster Bar is a must for lunch or dinner. We serve food with an emphasis on fresh local produce, sourcing from within the Burren where possible. We are known for our seafood but we cater for all tastes. Eat on the terrace during the Summer while the sun is shining and watch the boats come and go or come inside and cosy up beside the fire when Winter sets in. Whatever the weather, a trip to the Burren is not complete without a visit to Linnane’s.

    THE FLAGGY SHORE

The Flaggy Shore, located a short walk from Linnane’s is one of nine sites of geological importance that forms the basis of the Burren and the Cliffs of Moher (UNESCO Global Geopark). Famous for its limestone pavements, fossils embedded in the rock, including sculptured rocks along the shore called ‘biokarst’. A paved road runs along the shore making it ideal for walkers of all ability and age. The Flaggy Shore is an ideal place to find clues about where the ancient ice sheets came – and in what direction the glaciers moved. The clues can be found by looking at the rocks along the shore and identifying the odd one out. Most of the cobbles and boulders along the shore are grey limestone rocks, but some are glacial erratics of other rock types, such as granite or sandstone.

We offer an extensive Seafood and Grill menu with locally caught fish and produced meats and vegetables. Morrissey's decor is a mix of traditional and contemporary giving the customer a relaxed and informal setting with views of Doonbeg river and Castle.

We also have 6 spacious guest rooms. All rooms are ensuite with flat screen TV, Music systems and most importantly handbuilt super king size beds.

"This attractive family-run bar in Doonbeg village has upped the ante over the last couple of years and it is now run by the energetic Hugh McNally. While retaining some of the charm of the old bar, he has given this lively seafood bar & grill a refreshing new look, with an extension on to the River Cree and a lovely decking area overlooking the river, which has brought excellent views and light to the dining room.

The interior is all darkwood floors, cream walls and burgundy leather, a nice contrast to a collection of paintings and photographs, both new and old, of the village and local coastline.

Simply presented menus are just the right length with dishes such as seafood chowder, Carrigaholt crab claws and Atlantic jumbo prawns for starters along with main fish courses such as home-made scampi sauce or fresh fillet of salmon with warm baby potato salad.

Main offerings from the grill include an Angus sirloin steak, whilst in winter, specialities include roasted monkfish and meat casseroles. Cooking is good, and well-trained staff are friendly and efficient."

The Pullman Restaurant on the grounds of the Glenlo Abbey Hotel & Estate is one of Ireland`s truly unique dining experiences. Comprising of two dining carriages, one of which is called Leona, dates back to 1927 and was part of the original Orient Express.

The carriage has had a varied life, it famously covered the Orient Express route, taken in Istanbul, Monte Carlo-Nice, all the way to St. Petersburg in Russia. As well as that, the carriage was part of the Brighton Belle which route would have transported guests from London to Brighton. Many celebrated and famous personas of the time, like Charlie Chaplin, Laurel & Hardy to name a few would have travelled this route to Brighton to perform, as it was the hive of activity for Theatre and show in Great Britain at the time.

1965 saw Leona’s final journey when she was used as part of Winston Churchill ‘s funeral cortege to transport his remains to his final resting place at St. Martins Church, just outside Blenheim Palace.

After this event, Leona played a starring role in the 1974 film adaption of Agatha Christie’s, ‘Murder on the Orient Express’, which starred Albert Finney, Lauren Bacall and Sean Connery.

Leona also served as a restaurant at Elsenham Station in Essex, not far from London Stansted Airport and included the 1954 carriage Linda, which makes up the other half of our unique dining facility. We opened our doors in May 1998.

The Pullman Restaurant offers fabulous views of Lough Corrib and our beautiful Estate and ironically it is located only 300 meters away from the old track bed of the now sadly lost Galway-Clifden railway line which was disbanded in the mid 1930`s.

Aboard the Pullman, you will enjoy a unique dining experience like no other, the service is jovial and personal with a thoughtfully selected list of fine wines and the best locally sourced food prepared by our experienced and passionate kitchen team.

  •  Located in the heart of Temple Bar, we specialize in fresh fish, delivered daily by local suppliers and we guarantee to always have the finest quality available. Our seafood cuisine is characterized by the simple quality of the catch.

We place our orders during the night, directly from the port where the fish is delivered to ensure we always get the freshest product available. The Rosa Madre philosophy is all about the quality of the ingredients.

Our speciality is fresh Calamari and Gamberi served with spicy spinach or the Carpaccio di carne Scottona. We also have a great selection of salami and Formaggi D.O.P. (Culatello, Burrata, Bresaola di Bufala). For Pasta why not try our Lobster tonnarelli or our Ravioli al Tartufo made by our Chef from Pesaro, Francesco Mambelli.

“Lately, I’ve been charmed by Rosa Madre in Crow Street, it is buzzy and authentic. The cured beef was in absolutely prime condition.... Rosa Madre is as Italian as Ferrari” - Ernie Whalley, Sunday Times

“There’s a level of easiness about this place, the lighting soft: the waiter is so authentically Italian he could be out of a Fellini Movie” - Tony Clayton Lea, Irish Examiner

  • Traditional Irish bar & seafood restaurant in the heart of Howth village

     Great Music~Great Food~ Great Craic

A warm and welcoming interior with an old-fashioned feel, an open turf-burning fireplace, classic signage and interesting bric-a-brac stirring memories of a bygone age… these are just some of the features of “The Bloody Stream”, one of North Dublin’s most atmospheric and popular bars, where the byword is hospitality. Add to this the Mediterranean-style beer garden, live music every weekend and an extensive menu of fresh seafood and other delicacies and you have a special venue indeed.

Located just below the Howth DART station, its live music and late night bar create a real party atmosphere that’s proven a major attraction for locals as well as those travelling from Dublin city centre. In the heart of the picturesque town of Howth and its impressive harbour, The Bloody Stream has plenty of parking nearby and is especially popular among tour groups. It’s the perfect spot for those looking for great food and drink in pleasant surroundings, with that indefinable “craic” usually in evidence for good measure!

Whether you’re a fan of traditional Irish, Jazz, Blues or mainstream popular music The Bloody Stream always has something different to offer, and its beer garden is the perfect place for a summer afternoon’s listening to good sounds and enjoying a drink. The Bloody Stream caters for tour groups visiting Howth, private and corporate parties, and all social and sporting events.

    History of The Bloody Stream

The Bloody Stream is named in honour of The Bloody Stream over which it is built. In August 1177, during the second Norman invasion, a heavy battle took place near here between the forces of Sir Almeric Tristram (said to have been a descendent of one of the knights of King Arthur’s Round Table and whom took over command from Sir John de Courcy on the expedition’s arrival at Howth, who was unable to leave his ship) and the Danes, who were occupying Evora Bridge at that time. Inevitably the fighting produced blood, some of which found its way into the little stream that has been known as “The Bloody Stream” ever since.

  • Welcome to The Kings Head / Fáilte go dtí The Kings Head

The Kings Head is a Medieval Pub steeped in History, with Live Music, Comedy and Craic over 3 floors, located in the heart of Galway’s Latin Quarter.

This landmark pub which is owned and run by the Grealish family for 30 years, serves a great pint of stout, great local-ingredient food, and features a fantastic whiskey bar and bistro.

BISTRO & BAR FOOD / BISTRO & BIA BEÁR

Our food philosophy is simple... If it's fresh, local and seasonal it goes on the menu!

Our specialities include ‘Wild Atlantic Seafood Chowder’, ‘Best Of Irish Board’, ‘Lobster & Chips’, ‘Slow Cooked Lamb Shank’, ‘Burren Smoked Salmon Board’, Great Local Seafood & Steaks.

As proud members of Good Food Ireland, we source fresh local ingredients from the best local suppliers and we change our menus seasonally to reflect this.

Our beef is always Irish, our smoked salmon is from the Burren Smokehouse, our fresh seafood and vegetables are as local as we can find them. Our soup, chowder and soda bread are made fresh in house every day, our sausages from Colleran’s Butchers down the street and the beer for our fish batter is from the Galway Hooker Brewery.

800 Years of History / 800 Bliain ag Fás

The Kings Head is a true piece of living history. The building itself dates back over 800 years to the 13th Century. Speed’s famous Pictorial Map of Galway, drawn in 1651, shows the home of the Mayor of Galway at 15 High Street as one of the tallest and most prominent buildings in Galway with the impressive 5 story Stubber’s Castle adjoining it to the rear. The building has several links to the 14 Tribes of Galway; above the two fireplaces you’ll find marriage stones from the Martin, Ffrench, Bodkin and Lynch families.
