May 2019: The Ivy Dawson Street is celebrating its first Bloom in Dublin with a beautiful floral installation, terrarium masterclass and limited-edition menu items.
Popping up outside the brasserie from Friday, 24 May to Tuesday, 4 June, will be an eye-catching floral display, featuring a range of colourful blooms such as hydrangea, peonies, roses and dahlias for guests and passers-by to enjoy.
In further celebration, the bar team have created two delicious cocktails; Like A Red, Red Rose (€10.50), featuring Glendalough Rose Gin, Gabriel Boudier Rose Liqueur, cranberry juice, Jeio Prosecco and garnished with a red rose petal, and the Dingle Blooms (€10.50), incorporating Dingle Gin, St. Germain elderflower liqueur, Fever-Tree elderflower tonic and a garnish of edible flowers.
Those with a sweet tooth can enjoy a limited-edition dessert, The Tulipa, with white chocolate mousse, raspberries, meringue and petals, priced at €10.50.
The Ivy Dawson Street will also be hosting a summer terrarium workshop in the restaurant’s private dining room in partnership with Appassionata Flowers on Tuesday, 28 May, for those wishing to try their hand at flower arranging. Tickets are priced at €60 per person and available to purchase here. As well as enjoying the workshop led by Appassionata’s Ruth Monahan, guests will be able to enjoy a glass of Champagne and canapés, before taking their terrarium home.
The installation, two bespoke cocktails and Tulipa dessert will be available from Friday, 24 May to Tuesday, 4 June.
