The Corkscrew Wine Merchants on Dublin’s Chatham Street has announced a number of unmissable wine tasting dinners in collaboration with the Sallins-based TwoCooks in its stunning venue, Upstairs at No.4.
During each event, delicious wines chosen by the experts at The Corkscrew will be carefully paired with a tasting menu created by TwoCooks. Renowned for their modern Irish cuisine, TwoCooks have won many accolades including a Michelin Bib Gourmand 2018/2019 and Best Restaurant in Kildare by the Restaurant Association of Ireland 2019.
Beychevelle Tasting Dinner – October 3rd
Chateau De Beychevelle is a renowned winery from the Saint-Julien appellation of Bordeaux. The vineyards proximity to the Garonne River has a unique effect on the climate in the region – producing some of the best wines within the region. On October 3rd Managing Director and winemaker Phillippe Blanc will host this intimate evening, showcasing the best wines from this historic chateau. Tickets cost €150 per person.
Louis Latour Tasting Dinner – October 8th
Louis Latour’s 50 hectare vineyard includes the largest collection of Grand Cru vineyards in Burgundy. The family-run estate has over 200 years in experience in winemaking and has garnered an outstanding reputation. Most of the vineyards are situated in Aloxe-Corton where the family own 25 acres of Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru, one of the most famous white wines of Burgundy. Tickets cost €99 per person.
Dog Point Vineyard Tasting Dinner – November 1st
Explore New World wines with Marlborough’s Dog Point Vineyard. This certified organic vineyard is recognised as one of New Zealand’s top producers, with some of the oldest vines growing fruit that is hand-picked from the estate. During this dinner Dog Point’s very own Matt Sutherland will present some exclusive wines that have never been served in Ireland before. Tickets cost €150 per person.
