Yew Restaurant

Yew Restaurant serves internationally inspired cuisine.  With two AA Rosettes, our award-winning chefs delight in preparing eclectic cuisine from locally sourced, seasonal ingredients. Pair your dish with a selection from our extensive wine list, including noteworthy choices from our restaurant manager.

Whatever the occasion, Yew is a unique dining experience. The surroundings exude warmth and friendliness in a relaxed atmosphere. Vast windows run the length of the restaurant, creating a breath-taking, immersive, and serene backdrop, serving only to enhance an otherwise extraordinary dining experience.

The GRILL & BAR

The GRILL & BAR is located on the mezzanine level at Lyrath Estate offering views of both the Atrium foyer and the expansive estate parklands.

It’s all about taste. The Grill offers a unique and incomparable dining experience in Kilkenny including a Fresh Oyster Bar and Lobster Tank. Discover bold flavours from signature dishes prepared in a Charcoal Grill including our “Tomahawk Steak” and “Portuguese Espetada” skewers.

Choose from delicious starters and an extensive choice of sauces and sides. The philosophy of The Grill is quality food, perfectly prepared, delivered with taste!

Our team of chefs have designed a new menu that allows guests to sample a variety of dishes ranging from meat cutlets to seafood. We cater to each guests’ preferences and requirements. Signature dishes include The Tomahawk Steak, The Naked Burger, and fresh lobster picked right from the tank. The philosophy of The Grill is simple, “your meal, your way.” Meanwhile, surroundings exude warmth, relaxation, and comfort.

Tupper’s Bar

Tupper’s Bar is part of Lyrath Estate’s original 17th Century Manor House. In many ways, it is the heart of the hotel. Fitted with everything you’ve come to expect from a traditional Irish bar and more – a warm welcome, open fire, good pint, and comfortable chair in which to relax and watch the world go by. Tupper’s Bar is the ideal location to catch up with loved ones over a delicious lunch  or enjoy an evening cocktail.

The Conservatory at Tupper’s Bar

The Conservatory at Tupper’s Bar overlooks Lady Charlotte Wheeler-Cuffe’s Victorian garden. Lady Charlotte’s garden has been carefully restored to match her original design, based on family records and historic drawings. The garden is home to the ancient Lyrath yew trees, protected by preservation order.
