Ireland’s largest gin event will hear enthusiasts giving a big ‘cheers’ to fundraising for butterfly skin charity Debra Ireland.

Gin Experience Dublin takes place in The Printworks at Dublin Castle on Friday-Saturday, April 12-13.

Attendees can sample the wares of over 40 gin producers from Ireland and across the globe, as well as enjoy gin masterclasses, bespoke food pairings and cocktail bars.

“We are proud and happy to partner with Debra Ireland for Gin Experience Dublin,” said Ally Alpine, owner of Celtic Whiskey Shop, and creator of Gin Experience Dublin.

“Last year we raised €18,000 for the charity and we are hoping to do even better this year, as €10 from every ticket goes directly to Debra. Thanks to our generous exhibitors, we will also be donating the proceeds from our raffle.”

Those attending will have the opportunity to experience never tasted-before gins set to be launched at the event.

“It is wonderful to be part of this exciting event and we are very grateful that Gin Experience Dublin is helping to raise not just funds, but also awareness of Debra Ireland and EB butterfly skin,” said Debra Ireland’s Head of Fundraising, Judith Gilsenan.

Debra Ireland supports 300 people in Ireland living with the hugely distressing butterfly skin condition EB (epidermolysis bullosa), which causes the skin, both inside and out, to blister and wound at the slightest touch.

There is no known cure for EB and the only treatment is constant painful bandaging of the skin.

Gin is the fastest growing spirit in Ireland and the event has been created by The Celtic Whiskey Shop which is also behind Whiskey Live Dublin and the Irish Whiskey Awards.

“We are very pleased to partner with Debra Ireland for Gin Experience Dublin and to help raise funds for this particularly worthy charity,” said Ally Alpine.

Gin Experience tickets cost €40 and are available online, plus booking fee atwww.ginexperiencedublin.com or from the Celtic Whiskey Shop on Dawson Street, Dublin 2.

Bookings can be made for one session on Friday, April 12th 6.30 – 9pm and Saturday 13th 1- 4.30pm and 5.30 – 9pm.
