The Official Launch Event of famed Dublin chef-patron Johnnie Cooke took place last night, marking the grand opening of his new premises COOKES RESTAURANT in the Pembroke District of Dundrum Town Centre.
This exceptional 125-seater restaurant and bar designed by Interior Architect Brian McDonald of McDonald Design, showcases the best the Johnnie Cooke team has to offer, with a familiar focus on fresh ingredients, 5- star service, mouth-watering dishes and classic cocktails.
Johnnie Cooke will be leading an experienced team of chefs including Lee Doyle, formerly of The Exchequer and Ros Morgan, formerly with The Legal Eagle. Drawing on Johnnie’s signature style, COOKES has a strong Mediterranean influence and guests can expect to see some of Johnnie’s classic dishes on the menu.
Expect to see delicious plates like our Crispy Octopus a la Plancha, decadent Lobster Pizza and tender Red Wine-Braised Beef Short Rib, as well as signature cocktails like our Dilisk-infused Bloody Mary and Johnnie’s favourite martini – This is not a Martini! with olive-oil fat-washed vodka.
Johnnie’s ethos rests firmly in the belief that fresh ingredients (locally-sourced & organic wherever possible!), clean presentation, a love of good food and a kinship attitude to feasting are what make a truly fine-dining experience.
Located on the first floor, COOKES Restaurant is open for Breakfast, Lunch, Afternoon Tea & Dinner, 7 days a week with brunch available on Saturdays & Sundays, serving a full menu of fresh, simple, elegant dishes in the signature style of Johnnie Cooke.
A mix of contemporary food and classic cocktails, COOKES Restaurant will soon become your fashionable favourite for Sunday brunches, after work cocktails, intimate dinners and bespoke events.
