This Thursday is Beaujolais Nouveau Day.
From one minute after midnight the French wine laws permit the sale of these, the very youngest, freshest wines created from the summer fruit of 2017 to celebrate the end of harvest.
The Exchequer Wine Bar are pleased to present the 2017 Beaujolais Nouveau of Christophe Coquard….on tap!
The BJNouveau wine is a fresh and vibrant seasonal wine. As Winter sets in richer and fuller reds appeal but the BJN comes around on the legislated third Thursday of every November as a defiant annual last shout-out to the summer. Expect plenty of the crunchy fresh strawberry, cherry, violet and spice flavours that are in our “Beaujoulais 69” from the same producer.
The BJNouveau will be our guest house wine in the Exchequer Wine Bar, by the glass or the carafe. The tap system ensures that every glass of wine is perfectly fresh and slightly cool, a thirst quenching choice with our charcuterie and cheese selections.
We also look forward to creations from our chef and mixologists to celebrate the vintage with desserts and seasonal dishes.
